We have set up a test tool that lets you check the performance of a connection as seen by a large http upload from a server at Eurecom to your machine.

The server transmits a large bulk of data to your browser and then plots all sorts of interesting statistics about TCP performance and your connection. The Timeout and Fast Retransmission is marked with "TO" or "FR".

You can change the amout of bytes downloaded at the bottom of this page.

You can carry out 2 experiments:

• There is no other transfer going on over your link to/from home and you launch the testdownload (this gives you the best case results)
• You first start a long download to your PC and then you launch the test upload file. There you should observe the intereference of the download with the test upload

If you want to measure an upload to our server please select a file and upload it. Note that the file will not be stored at Eurecom but that it will be discarded right away.
